At Clark & Chase Research,
Jack E. Clark, Ph.D.
Jack is an experienced research professional and a recognized authority on newspaper and media market research. He joined IBM in 1984 and relocated to Charlotte that same year. Later, he moved to The Charlotte Observer of Knight-Ridder, Inc. in an Employee Relations/ Personnel Research management role. In 1989, he joined KPC Research as a manager and project director providing market research to media, businesses, government and non-profit agencies both locally and nationally. He became the Advertising Marketing Manager for the Charlotte Observer in 1999 helping sales staff and advertisers understand the local market and the advantages of newspapers in their media buy. In 2002, he returned to KPC Research as Director until starting Clark & Chase Research, Inc. in 2006.
Jack graduated from the University of Florida with a doctorate from the College of Education. In graduate school he focused on research and provided data analysis services to both faculty and doctoral students. Jack’s early professional experience was in the field of psychology, counseling and education. During this time he focused on the principles underlying human behavior and developed his facilitation skills. He brings this understanding into all phases of the research process, including questionnaire design, study execution and the interpretation of the results. Jack is an experienced focus group moderator.
